About Linda Thomson

I have over 30 years' experience supporting individuals and couples through relationship conflict, betrayal, emotional rupture, and trust repair. Over my career, I have worked with tens of thousands of people navigating the emotional fallout of infidelity, chronic conflict, attachment injuries, and major relationship transitions.
My work is grounded in relationship counselling, attachment-based frameworks, and practical therapeutic experience, with a strong focus on helping people stabilise emotionally, understand what has happened, and make clear decisions about their future.
I am a fully qualified and experienced Marriage, Relationship & Couples Counsellor and provide services both online and, where appropriate, in person in Noosa, Australia.
A Personal Note
I was diagnosed with dyslexia well into my professional life, after years of wondering why I needed to work twice as hard to do what others seemed to manage with ease. Then, in 2024, came another turning point — a formal diagnosis of ADHD. That discovery brought relief and understanding, but also a wave of grief for what might have been if I'd been recognised and supported earlier.
Through that journey, I learned that compassion and insight — not perfection — are what allow us to heal. I no longer see my neurodivergence as a limitation; it's a source of creativity, empathy, and resilience that shapes how I connect with others and guide them through their own challenges.
My Approach
My practice blends evidence-based approaches such as the Gottman Method, Attachment-Based Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My style is warm, grounded, and practical — offering both emotional insight and clear direction. I work with couples rebuilding after infidelity, individuals learning to communicate with confidence, and neurodiverse clients seeking self-acceptance and relational harmony.
I believe that with the right understanding, compassion, and guidance, it's never too late to heal, to grow, and to rewrite the story of your life — with courage, clarity, and hope.
